Should you be over by Mt St Helens (Sheep Canyon)
« on: August 04, 2008, 05:29:25 PM »
I believe the road to sheep canyon is washed out, but should you go to latitude 46 degrees 11 minutes, -122 degrees 17.5 minutes, which is a ways west of the road. There is a hidden grove of very large, very tall old growth firs there. I have some old pictures somewhere around. The trees drawfed the people in the picture.
There is a ridge between the grove and the road, which is why the lat/long. Unless you stumbled on it, you would never know it is there.
Gathering is easy. Hunting is a challenge.
