"Washington State Parks have hired a public relations firm to promote the state parks and increase sales of the Discover Pass."

"The public relations firm will be paid more than $150,000 to promote the parks and its new website, which is expected to launch as early as this upcoming Friday."
What's the most dangerous thing said in the US Navy? -- A Chief Petty Officer saying "Watch this s$%^!!"

"I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: 'I served in the United States Navy.'"
President John F. Kennedy

I wonder if the $150K is the firm's cut or if they are taking a portion and are applying the rest to things such as advertising.

Bet it doesn't pay itself off from discover pass sales. This state could have just used the news and it's own pages for free instead of wasting the money. Enforcement would get the word out pretty quick.

So charge us for a discovery pass then when people don't want to pay and stop showing up fork out a bunch of money to get people to come?  Hmmm great math

What's it to them, it's not their money. They don't give a rats ass if it's a good investment or not.

I seriously do not care what they do to enforce the discover pass because I guarantee you I WILL NEVER BUY ONE .....NEVVVVVER!!  :yeah: The way we will ever get their attention is to ignore them .....and unfortunately there is only a few of us that will stick to our guns ....The way this state needs to make money is the reason it is so beep beeped up !!!!!!  :yeah:

According to my math, they would have to see an increase of 5,000 passes this year just to break even. Seems like a stretch to me. Classic case of government trying to fix a problem by throwing money at it...OUR money. Government inspired solutions rarely work to our benefit.
