Thanks all.  Sage, now that I know you will be carrying my gear I'll take a big 20 lb 600mm lens next time...  :)

I'll post some more tonight.

It would be worth it to tag along on one of your trips, Shawn!

I wonder if I could get close enough to a deer with that in decent light to get a good picture.    :)

I don't think you would have to leave your house to do that.

By the way, it takes the 1.4x converter very well.  That makes it an 840mm f5.6 lens.  If you take into account the crop factor with a Canon xxD series camers, it turns out to be a 1344mm f5.6 lens with image stabilization...  Crazy.  If you computed that to binoculars/spotting scope language it's a 27x magnification.     It's a tank of a lens.  I am not carrying it though, Sage is so I'm not worried about weight...   :chuckle:

Here is a few more.  I'll save the huge muley photos for a rainy day...

Here is another photo of that elk.  They look so impressive when they are in velvet.  When I first saw it I thought it was a 400" elk, but now I've come back to reality.  His royals and main beams look short.  Looks like he was wallowing also.

Juvenile bald eagle flying over me.

For you deer guys, a couple big whitetails.  One is a 3 point and the other a 4 point.  They didn't stick around long...

One of my favorite photos of the trip.  Right before the sun went down this pronghorn decided to use this weed as a scratching post.  I got about 20 shots of him scratching his face.  It was a good catch.

Well, after posting these 8 photos that leaves 2099 more photos to post in the future...  (including some gagger mulies)

Sweet pics pope, but you are killing us with the gagger muley comment. Show those next. .  . please. If I can recall a quote from you back during my journey last Dec, "Freshman girls in HS didn't tease that bad".
