Is this gun rare?
« on: May 10, 2012, 05:06:36 PM »

My father in law picked it up at a yard sale...no serial number whatsoever...

not sure, but it is a cool old stevens.
"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

Is there a model number on it by the caliber markings? I am assuming it is a 12 gauge.

If it is a 107B not rare.
The stevens model 107B total production of 443,500 guns made.

934,000 model 94's were made

The Stevens No. 520 to 535 John M.Browning designed pump gun was introduced by the J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. around 1911/12.

After WW-I the old factories at Chicopee Falls were bought by Savage Arms Corp. and became J. Stevens Arms Co. The No. 520 remained in the line until 1927 when it was replaced by the more streamlined No. 620. The old No. 520 was then marketted under Steven's lower priced line Riverside Arms Co.

Except in mint condition or one of the very rare higher grades valued under $200.

I think it's a 520.  There are no other markings on it, other than what is in the picture.  No caliber, no shell length, no model or serial numbers.  Thanks for the pictures.

I think it looks awesome! Who cares about the value if it's not worth much, it's a neat little piece!
