NWCO classes and WSTA
« on: May 14, 2012, 07:54:55 AM »
The WSTA will not be doing any NWCO training classes.
The Board of Directors voted to not do the classes for WDFW. The BOD felt it was unethical what the WDFW was asking us to do. Basically they wanted us to double bill students for the training. It would have cost $100 to take the class through us. If you take the class through WDFW it will cost $50.
If you still want the WCO permit you wil have to contact Sean Carrell at (360)902-2926 to sign up for a class.

I understand why they did this but I am disappointed that a person has to go to the state now.

To tell the truth it would have been a money maker for us. It did not seem right though.

What:              WCO Training
When:              Thursday, August 30th 10:30 – 2:00
Where:            Natural Resource Building, Olympia, WA Room 682
Cost:                A onetime $50 certification fee

You have received this e-mail message because at one time you had asked to be placed on notification when the department offers wildlife control operator training.  I understand there are some of you that cannot/will not be able to attend this class due to scheduling conflicts and its location, but I will work with you to try and find amicable alternatives.  Additionally, I will be having a class in Yakima at our Region 3 Office not long after our westside training opportunity (around mid September).

If you are interested in attending this class in Olympia, please identify your participation by e-mailing me back and I will add your name to the sign-up sheet.  Additionally, in order to attend the class, you must provide a $50 certification fee at training.  You may pay your certification fee by cash, check, or credit card at our Licensing Program located in the building during that time.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate and send me an e-mail.  Thanks.
