My buddy applied with 16 or 17 last year and didn't draw. Hope you have better luck then he did.

Good luck on the draw, but nothing is for sure in this state.

I feel like I have an advantage with a few points here and there.  I put in for most everything I could hunt in between Idaho.  So I'm just thinking I have nothin to lose.  I'd be mad if 15 years had gone by and not one draw!  I'll just use wa as a backup for out of state.  That way I'm never disappointed.

Your odds are still probably about 20-30%. Good luck.

If you do the math you will see that after about 8 points you top out at about 12% on average of people in each point bracket drawing. Guys with 20+ points didn't draw last year. You had just as good of chances of drawing last year. There are so few good tags we are experiencing points creep like crazy in this state. There is only enough draw tags each year for about 4% of the applicants to get one. So if no one new entered the draw and each tag was a OIL then we could all draw quality elk tags in about 25 years.

Apply in other states!!!!!!! The more the better.

I had 1 point a few years ago and drew the Firing center for deer, anything can happen.
Not that it's the best draw but I was one of 25 out of 1900...

Not to be a spoiler but I just checked a spreadsheet I have using last years numbers and it looks like with that many points most units in the blues are still under a 25% draw odds. :dunno:

Somebody has to draw though.
