Spending some time hunting for poachers may not be a bad idea.  10 points could go a long ways.  And it would get a guy in the woods more often.

problem with people with a boat load of points is it means they are applying for hard to draw tags..example the Blues rifle bull tags it really dont matter how many points when there is 2 tags and 1,000+ apps  i would be applying for muzzy or archery tags

I know its the right thing to do but honestly I don't think I will ever get wrapped up in that kind of fiasco ever again... Long story but basically caught guys red handed on private property with a cow elk in a 3pt only unit. Wasted almost a whole day dealing with WSP while trying to keep a close eye on the poachers. Long story short, don't expect squat for points from F&G unless the original suspect is CONVICTED of the crime. We all know how BS the court systems are these days. Just sayin. Not my first time reporting either. Another time witnessed a guy shoot a deer on Federal land with a long gun.... Turned out to be a WSP AND a big shot with Ducks Unlimited... Lets just say those guys take care of their own :bash:

I know of a guy with 36 points and couldnt draw a tag in the blues ......  :dunno:
I hope he has three poacher cases to get them points or hes damn close to being farting dust on that hunt  ;)

I beleive it was 2 poacher cases and max points as it was last year and max last year was 16 with out poacher points. I dont know the guy just know of him.
