Time well spent educating the young ones!

I don't know where Chloe Clark Elementary School is but I'm guessing it's not in the Seattle School system.... :yike:

Just south of Tacoma at Dupont.

Toughest questions I had involved where I got the animals and why they were killed. Hard to put it in terms a 1st grader understands but I think they came away with an understanding without upsetting them.
One thing I won't lie and tell them a fairy tale.

Funniest question or at least it tickled me. I have an old felt hat with sweat stains that I wore to the school. It was raining and I need a warm hat for my bald spot. I took it off in school and laid it on a chair with my jacket back out of the way. One little boy asked "What happened to your hat" My answer " It got old" Then the next little boy asks "Can I have it"

very cool.  Good job on not lying or avoiding the questions.
Of all the branches of men in the forces there is none which shows more devotion and faces grimmer perils than the submariners."
