Pro-hunter and pro-gun candidate for State Representative
« on: May 17, 2012, 04:29:29 PM »
Good News, there is a pro-hunter and very pro-gun (R) candidate running for Representative in the 44th District (position 1) who wants to cut the pork out of Washington.

Check out Mark Harmsworth, he's a member of the NRA and a member of Washington Arms Collectors. In his first week of his campaign he raised $10,000. Very impressive. We need to get behind this guy. He is anxious for any support hunters can give him, he said donations of as little as $10 will help his campaign.

I talked with Mark Harmsworth on the phone, great guy, supports hunting, guns, and reducing state government spending in Washington. I wished we had a candidate running for every district just like Mark.  :twocents:

He needs our support though, he is running against one of the most powerful incumbent representatives in Washington (Hans Dunshee). As many of you know, Dunshee is no friend of hunters. But Harmsworth can't run for office without support from many different people and he is hoping sportsmen will jump in and help in any way they can to help elect a fellow sportsman to change the direction Washington has been going. He told me he is thankful for any campaign help and every donation people can send, even if some people can only donate $10 to his campaign, it all adds up.

I just made a small donation myself and hope to make another donation as soon as I have a few more extra dollars.

Mark I appreciate the support from you in regards to hunting. I think many of our gripes about the WDFW is that they seem to ignore good science and what their "customers" think. I realize that they have a hard job BECAUSE we are so opinionated.  Many of us would be happy if the WDFW was our Advocate and partner in increasing hunting success, access and its future.   :twocents:
