Sorry, I had a post on here earlier and I can't remember my exact phrasing, but there were some replies that I couldn't see cause the server crashed.. but:

Looking for some good suggestions for more hiking backpacking style packs for women.  My girlfriend might want to pack up with me for bears this late summer and I'm looking for a good pack for her.  Not necessarily a meat hauler, general hiking is fine.  Shes pretty small framed, 5'5" and just not all that big.  Any suggestions?  Been looking at the Osprey packs a little.

Thanks!

Osprey packs are great, look at the Ariel. Gregory Jade is an excellent pack for women with shorter torsos. Hands down, if the female is small, and on the short side, The Jade is the way to go!  Hope this helps.

It appears some of the earlier posts today were lost in the recovery, sorry about that. Hopefully everyone will repost their advice.

REI Flash packs are good.  Also Osprey, Gregory, check Ebay for older Dana Design packs.

My wife likes her Osprey but the zippers are crap. One of her taller girlfriends likes her Gregory.
