Good luck seen three bears farther north on the coast.  They were all eating grass. Good luck. Rick

Well nothing on my cameras. Going on three hours sleep.  But found bear sign and a dead bear skull which was a cool find.  Plus a dozen elk one branched bull.  Still have half the loop to walk.

Saw my first bit of tree peeling for the year.  They were testing the bases of 20yr timber in the '6006' portion of the Copalis unit.  I've only seen one small bear in the unit this year, and most of the sign has them eating grass.  We should be getting some heavy peeling soon.  Kill every last one you see....we will get more moving in from the QIR.
