I got scoped right before I was the best man in my buddy's wedding. And I got scoped again this year during deer. Another on a coyote... it happens. I could use something longer with better eye relief, and it's a kicking sob in 300WSM under 7lbs. But it's a killing machine.

  Congrats on the deer.

I got kissed by my 7mm, and it was really embarrassing at the range sighting in, first shot, I forgot the ear protection, I pulled the trigger and almost passed out, lol.

Good job on your first Buck  my buddy ringed himself last year on his first Elk and I still haven't stopped giving him crap.  Even my uncle does it every year.

Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

I've had the poo knocked out of me by a scope on more than one occasion. It's definately worth it when you get an animal down though!

Cool buck man.  Congratulations.
Shooting steep uphill or steep downhill will give you a little kiss sometimes.  I have a buddy that was hunting Idaho 2 years ago and a 140 class whitetail ran across the logging road in front of him.  He peeked over the edge and there it was, standing 150 yards away on the steep hill straight below him.
He said to himself "Man, this is gonna hurt"...  Of course, he shot, got kissed, and killed his biggest buck to date.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
