Glad to hear all the effort put forth. Wish I couldve helped...been swamped. They are so tough of an animal, it never ceases to amaze me. My monroe spring bear when about a 1/4 mile in brush like you've described. Tough pill to swallow if you dont find it. Thanks for the effort, best of luck if ya'll are still searching.

Searched hard, lotsa man hours between me, my dad, d-rock and johnny. Thanks all for helping.  All the rain up there yesterday certainly didn't help in picking up his blood trail after the place where he had bedded. By the time D-rock came early in the afternoon what had looked like a murder scene was completely washed away.  I'm pretty beat up now after hunting and tracking the last 4 days for sure.

I feel the pain.  I lost only bear I shot also.  He did live, cousin still gets his pics on game camera.  Getting bigger too! :tup:

Damn I hate these kind of stories stories. Bears are very tough critters and live in very brushy areas here on the Wetside though.
