92xj I had a great time hunting bear and visiting with you guys.

Have been turkey hunting since you left, the guy from Mississippi killed two birds and we got another 5 birds after he left. I'm hoping to get out bear hunting again tommorow.

Good luck tomorrow!
Chip came over to the cabin when he was suppose to go to bed.  Talked for a good while and got his contact info.  Congrats on his birds.  I know he was pumped up!

Let me know when you get done with your hunts and are ready for some work around the house and/or on stands.

Chip was pretty tired the next day, he said he visited with you guys in your cabin.  :chuckle:

I've been going hard since you left, finally got 4 hours of sleep this afternoon, I am like a new man.  :chuckle:

I might be going down to see Chip and go hog hunting when the wife and I go to her family reunion in WI. I looked at the map and WI is 2/3 of the way to MI. He says the hogs are a terrible nuisance on his farm.

Great bear.  It will be a nice coat for a rug.
Cut em!

Update....

So, not only was this bear shot by me with a 300wm and the other person that shot the opposite shoulder that I did, it also had a rear leg shot with bird shot.  I was prepping a leg to throw on the smoker, in the process I found bird shot in it.  So, this bear has been shot at least 3 times!

Got the skull cleaned and white.  The hide is getting tanned and doing a half mount with it.
