Yahoo! I drew one of 3 N/R tags for Premium unit #065 Mule Deer in Nevada. This is a Oct modern firearm hunt. If anyone has been I would appreciate your input.
as I will not be using an outfitter.

Congrats Dan!

That's awesome!!! If it was unit 111-113 I could help......  Your best friends are going to be GoogleEarth and the game bioligists.  I've dealt with a couple of different bioligists in NV and they were pretty helpful.  Good luck!

Trying talking to Randy Newberg.  He drew an archery tag in 65 a couple years ago.  He is bigfin on mm.  And I think he is bigfin on his own forum "on your own adventurs".  I get more replys from him on mm than his forum.

Good advice.  We ran into him in NM a few years back.  He was hunting the season before us, and was very generous with information.

Thanks guys, I watched Randys video on that hunt. It is in my unit. I am studying the unit now and I will contact Randy when I know enough to talk about it. I also have a list of guys to call that have hunted it from the huntin fool crew. Garth Carter actually called me to talk about the quality of bucks there. A few of my good pals have decided to go along and spot so it should be a hoot!

Definately call Garth Carters references on people that have drawn and hunted your unit in the past.

Congrats Dan. How many points did it take for you to draw that tag?
