Don't forget to take the "h" out of wales!!

Just kidding. I grew up on POW. Feel free to pm me questions.

Look on 24 hour. In the big game section. A guy from Texas got a good one up there this spring.

You going guided, staying at an outfitters, or doing it all your self?

Do it all your self hunt, staying at a friends cabin who is not much of a hunter, the only help i get form him is "There are bears all over", and he wont be there during the hunt.

He's right, there are bears all over. Fall you'll probably want to hit salmon streams or berry patches up on the hill tops. You could hunt clear cuts, but that's just like hunting down south. But keep it in your pocket.
You'll probably spend time looking over bears looking for a hide.

I guess I read your original wrong. Your going in 7 days!!!
Seems late for spring bears. You'll be looking on beaches and in clear cuts with lots of green. If you have a boat you can hunt the beaches. That's the primary method. If not you can hunt clear cuts and rivers where they run out onto the beach flats.

Make sure you look over your bear well before you shoot. Lots of rubbed bears this time of year. Also keep your eyes out for cubs, the vegetation is growing fast.
