Let us know what you think of that ported barrel.  My ears are still ringing from the one I shot in 1996..

I carry a 29sf and I've only put a 3.5  lb transfer bar in it to lighten up the trigger. It's a friggin' cannon stock ! I was going to put Night Sights on 'er, but decided not to because your position will be compromised at night. I do have Night Sights on my 23 though. Been on there for 20 + years.
Stock up on ammo that's for sure.....

I have taken whitetails on the east coast with my factory barrel and the 175g Winchester silvertips:

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/2900297693/winchester-super-x-ammunition-10mm-auto-175-grain-silvertip-hollow-point

This year I bought a 6 3/4" ported EFK barrel, added a stainless guide rod and put in a 24 lb spring and I'm going to give this 200g Underwood ammo a go.

http://www.underwoodammo.com/10mmauto200grainxtpjacketedhollowpointboxof50.aspx

I have been shooting the 135g and 165g stuff from them as well with no problems....good ammo.

Just to add this is true 10mm ammo not any watered down stuff and the prices are damn good for what you are getting IMO...

Talking about the .460 Rowland.

I'm pretty sure we can slip a G21 (45 ACP) slide right on top of our G20 lowers.  Then convert to the 460Rowland

I would get this
http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=80619&CAT=247

but I'm not sure if the 460 rowland conversion kit on http://shop.460rowland.com/glock_21_conversion_kit would fit on the longer slide.
I'd need to verify that before I bought the lonewolf upper.

I'd beg for a longer 460 barrel  :chuckle:

would make a great bear country rig

I picked up  https://www.underwoodammo.com/10mmauto200graintotalmetaljacketboxof50.aspx

100 rounds to my door for 75 bucks - also picked up a lonewolf stainless guide rod and 22# recoil spring.

Going to make sure the gun works well on this stuff then move to the double tap and buffalo bore stuff.
Or hell I might just stay with this stuff,  wish I had a chrono to make sure the spring was right and double check ammo consistancy.

still 200 grains @ 1250 fps muzzle is nothing to sneeze at, this is also a hard cast.

I am interested in the accuracy of stock vs aftermarket for the barrel. I have reloaded my own 10mm rounds and there was more kick then the factory stuff I was shooting from hsm

I just went out and shot my first batch of 10mm reloads last night.. 180gr plated flat points, with 10.0gr of blue dot. Worked perfectly no pressure signs. I think 11.0gr is the never exceed mark with that bullet powder combo. I found all but 3pcs of my brass. I wish .380 brass was that easy to find lol. I can never find the brass after I shoot my Kel Tec P3AT. I shot 25 rds thru it, and found only 11pcs.

what springs are you guys using with the 220 grain ammo, like buffalo bore and such.

I just swapped in a 24lb spring and stainless steel guide rod with a polymer bushing.  It's pretty tight and heavy, the slide pull it noticably harder to pull.  Not for weak/small hands for sure.  This thing is a fist full with that heavy spring, some friends checked out the G20 and it was too big for their hands.  I told them to check the G20SF but none were in stock at the time.

haven't gotten the ammo yet to shoot it and see if it'll work

I think mind is a 24 lbs spring and the lone wolf barrel.

If the SF is too big they can still send it off for a grip reduction....or do it themselves....but not recommended

after market barrels are usually necessary to get accuracy out of the heavy hard cast ammo.

I got about 100 round of .40 SW through the lone wolf conversion, one failure to feed.  The round was too fat to fit in the chamber so either the slide jammed the lead in deeper or it came that way - I think the latter because this was a very bad batch of 40 ammo.

I got almost 50 round of the underwood 200gr hardcast through it, no failures and its shooting clean with 24lb spring and stainless spring guide.

so far so good, joy to shoot

I love my G20.  Welcome to the brotherhood!

I use the cheap HSM loads for target work, as mentioned you can get them at sportco, but you better get there first 'cause I buy all they have at that price.  :IBCOOL:

Hornady makes 180, 165, 200 gr loads for 10mm for meat work.  Cabelas has exclusive on their 10mm Critical Defense loads.

I carry as a daily concealed gun when the weather turns cool enough to wear enough cloths to hide it.  It's no bigger than your standard 1911.45 though and holds darn near a full box of ammo in the magazine.

Me too...Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 for hunting

If you're thinking of using your Glock for "firearms restricted" areas like the San Juans, read your regs closely.  Only "revolver type" handguns allowed on those areas.  All other general mod firearms hunts would be ok.
