Camping on the cheap
« on: June 05, 2012, 06:55:04 PM »
I was wondering if there are any places where you can gain access by car that you can camp for free? Or did the discovery pass do away with camping for free? Lol can you camp on the side of a loging/fs road? How would you camp on the cheap? Where would you go?

You can still camp for free on USFS land for free... That is Federal land not state land...
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

If your paying a fee to camp you ain't camping IMO - just staying at a roadside hostle without a roof.

Several logging companies in eastern washington also allow you to camp on their land, a few companies have locked or posted land, but there's a lot that's open.

I was looking at the fs website. At least as far as I could find with my phone. It seemed as though there was some kind of pass you had to buy. I am new to this, I still have a lot to learn. Thanks for this site and the people!
