Got a maybe for the trip. Leaning towards a yes, i think cause the wife likely has to work that weekend. We will see next month when she gets September's schedule. Joe said if I can go he would probably go too  :chuckle: We will see.

a couple questions:
is it a timed shoot or is it for accuracy?
is it ok to just come out and watch?
work hard but hunt harder

it is timed, but with plenty of time to make a good shot.   sure it is ok to come and watch, but dont be mad at your self if you dont bring your rifle and once you have seen some shooting you get mad cause you want to shoot.     hope you come and watch

Are there going to be different classes for turrets and straight pipes? Might bring the 270 for the short course if they are gonna be seperated. I know you weee talking about it last rime, so thought id ask. Probably depends on number of shooters and sponsor prizes, I would suspect.

i would like to have different classes, but it does take more sponsorship and coordination. maybe if there are enough shooters i could do a berger bullet certificate.     but yes if there were enough people i would like to do it.

Thats what I figured. Kinda pointless to seperate them if there arent prizes to cover everybody. Just thought I'd ask. The new load Joe and i worked up for my 270 is coming along really well for such a light bullet. Cold bored a 16 oz water bottle at 490 yds with it this weekend.

madhatter,
you should she will have other wives to watch shoot and maybe in courage her to want to try a few shots. my buddy brought his wife and daughter to my small game shoot last month and now his wife is hooked and his daughter took third beating her brother and two others.

feanix,
i don't know why you wouldn't bring the 270 and try for the scope. that thing sounds like its doing well. the small game shouldn't go to much further that your water bottle(shouldn't is relative).
the sportsman's challenge in may the farthest small game target was a coyote at about 590 yards

I was thinking the same thing, but looking to win the scope for my new 308. Maybe I'll just bring them both and win both scopes! haha

that's a plan i am hoping to be able to shoot the match my self, but if i am to do well i wont be taking any prizes.

i always get to shoot after everyone is done, but not with or during the match/ shoot so maybe ill get to throw some rounds down range.
