Sure, I can do that. Sorry, I didn't get any pictures in the field, forgot the camera.   :bash:

But this is the buck I got in 2008:

man if I was a rifle hunter that would be the tag I would want, I hunt it every year late archery and see some dandy bucks that  are always just out of range.... congrats....

Congrats on the tag looks like a great hunt hopefully you get a few pointers on here since you didn't come on looking for a handout like many do this time of year.

It can be a great hunt! A lot of factors can come into play. Cat pressure plays a lot into it, they move a lot of deer around. If you hunt hard you should be rewarded well.

Looks like a good camp to me, you don't see too many of those anymore with many bucks hanging.

I too have been dreaming of this tag for years, with no luck. I always get really excited to find out the results and again this year disappointment. I am very excited for you elkhunter 1 and hope you have a great hunt. Bobcat, that is a really wide buck you took. Scottfrick, that looks like a shot from the old days when you could hunt over Thanksgiving weekend over there and have alot of success. I have hunted there since I was 15 and have seen alot of changes in the unit. If you catch it right, you should have some good luck. I will be there the last week of the general season, hopefully with success.

Ken

One year my friend killed a big 4pt there on the first day. The next year his sister drew the same tag, hunted VERY hard and saw nothing worth shooting. Have Fun!

That year in 09 we had a total of 9 bucks hanging in camp all in a week hunting trip. Sure wish every year was like that. all were general season tags.
