Yep, for the season currently open... Some of my private property honey holes seem to have dried up due to logging and development. Don't live in the PNW anymore so year round scouting is kind of tough. Used to see lots of elk but not so much now. We (my 1hunting partner and I) was thinking of heading south into the Winston or some place like it since there are some closed roads due to fire concerns. I haven't spent too much time in that area so I'm not too sure how the closures look and work out. Goal is to day hunt only but still hike in at least a mile or two to hunt each day. Probably Thr & Fri and return to the private land on the weekend in hopes that things might improve by then.
I'm looking for some PMs on tips for finding out roads open and closed in Weyco. I called the company line and will go pick up a map if we head that way but I'm wondering if there's any thing else I'm missing.
Or... If youd like to PM me specific tips I have some good honey holes in E WA, AZ, & NM I'd be happy to exchange. Quality of info will be reciprocated--just let me know what your interested in.
PMs preferred, thanks.
Oh yeah, already been to C post
