I'm really curious why you'd want to. Say you had 15 hounds, who would win between a pack of 7 wolves and your 15 dogs? How long would it last til you caught up?
Another thing too is the Irish Wolf Hound is basically the size of a wolf (120Plus pounds) and a regular hound in shape is about half that size (60 for a descent size walker) I have 1 that is 75 in shape most have been 55 .

And they weighed almost 200lbs each. He had a ford ranger and he would let the tailgate down and they would step into the bed without jumping. They are huge dogs with a short life span. I think the average life span is like 9 years.
Sounds about right. The giant breeds all die out pretty quickly. There's not a single breed out there that even comes close to their attitudes though. Must've been some huuuuge wolfhounds though. Sounds like they weighed as much as a large mastiff.
im just curious on why in idaho you cant hunt wolfs with hounds?
