You sound like me, I tore my hamstring and bulged a disc last weekend possibly killing my early season.   
Hell, didn't you say that you didn't like velvet?  If you have to wait to heal you might give him enough time to rub that crap off.

Hey....I'm sure you've researched this already, but I have 3 Wildgame Innovations cameras and had the same battery issues with them.  I bought the external battery pack that plugs into them.  They are rechargeable and last a long time.  I charged them all up in July and they are still out and I check them once a week.  The meter in each is down to about half now. 

Just thought you'd like to know.  They're between $30-40 on Ebay if you think you'll get some.

Here ya go huntnnw. Taken up North by my cabin. Not the same buck I know. This buck had 4 shorter points on the right + the eyeguard. Left was just a big fat fork + a 6" eyeguard pushing fwd. He needed to be taken out.

I have yet to have any issues with these cams.. I own lots and of all brands and these are by far the best performing cams I have..I have 7,000 pics on the current batts
