if you can shoot 3-500 yards your chances go way up . there is two water holes that they go to if you wanna try a bow kill .

Hardest part is done (drawing the tag).   Its easy from here on out.   The unit is only so big.  Not like you need rediscover the world.  The hunt will be what you make of it.   Drive up and shoot one, or make a hunt of it

 :yeah: exactly

I had two cousins draw partner sheep tags on clemans quit a few years ago. I was along on the hunt and they both shot 150 class rams out of the same herd of about 18 rams within 30 seconds apart. one cousin shot from the ridge and knocked one down and we were side hilling and were glassing the sheep when he shot so they just stood there and my other cousin got his. this was about 2 hours into opening morning.

Thanks for the information and advice. I presently live in Moses Lake, grew up in Yakima, Selah and Naches area. I hunted Clemans and the Wenas area growing up. As you said the hardest part was probably drawing the tag. I plan to scout and select a nice ram. I am comforable with long range shooting, and plan to use my BAR .300 win mag.

Dont over look the east end of the unit , acess is tougher , only from the top , but I think some of the better rams hide out over there early.

Thanks for the east end advice and photos. It has been a long time since I was up there. I used to hike up from the wheat fields, as you start down into the Wenas valley.

Theres a trail that runs from the feed lot east that is a good lil hike and may offer some scouting without cutting a tire .

Those last two pictures by Coachcw would be exactly where I went if I had the tag... BIG BIG rams that hang out in there

we seen the biggest rams in the first draw you'd come to if coming in from the top i guess that would be the west end it seems to be the rockiest and with a ton of little crevices for them to bed down in we sat there for a while and seemed like they were popping out all around us it was our first day maid our minds a litttle rummy trying to pick them apart and score them..
