It weighs right at 150#

it is 120''X65''  I needed it large because I'm fat.

the cockpit is 30''X66''X4'' 

If I was to build another I think if I had one guy helping me more clamps and we stayed at it, we could have it ready for paint in 15 hours each.

It is overbuilt too much.  I am 300lbs and I can walk across the top of it.  It doesn't need to be that stout so a lot of weight could be saved there.  If I made the corners for rounded, I could save an easy 25#.  I used .063 aluminum and that roughly weighs 1#^2.  quick math says by shaving off 1 1/2'^2 per corner you're going to save a minimum of 12# overall.  It would be easy to take off 3'^2/corner making a quick 24# savings.  cutting anymore off then we need to start doing real math and figuring out weights.

I think it would be possible to build this craft with very similar dimensions and have it weighing <80#. 

Since I am fat, I built the cockpit extra wide for comfort.  If a small guy could get away with a 20'' cockpit, you're at a real advantage as it will not take as much weight to sink the cockpit and make the boat draft correctly on the apron.

Very Cool!  :tup:   I thought will all those supports and gussets you were building a tank not a layout boat!  :o

Since its metal i would also highly recomend some kind of closed cell foam pad on the floor to make it more comfortable and warmer.  :twocents:
