the bow hunters should be of some help , I wouldn't recomend being in there buggleing and scouting during archery , but the elk should still be vocall for your hunt . dont over look the sage .

I remember when I had a peaches ridge rifle tag and my brother hosed me on a couple of big bulls. The first one he chased away from me, ( I think he was actually throwing rocks down the hill at him) and the second one actually crossed the road in front of us and he just hit the gas! I still have nightmares about that first bull. Its dead now and probably hanging on some *censored*bags fireplace. I could probably get over there to help out, I don't have anything to hunt until November anyway!

I can just hear that story he tells his buddies. " See that big ole buck there on the wall, he's a big ole 13 pointer. My taxidermist told me he scores close to 360, Boone
AND
Crockett. Both of em! Not quite sure what that means, but it sounds good doesn't it? Got him back a couple years ago. I was driving down this road and I see this 3 point buck run out of the trees, so I jump out and start blazing away with this ole 30-30 my grand dad gave me. Well, I didn't hit anything and out comes another, this time it was a big buck. So, I reload and start blazing away again. Long story short, I end up knocking that bugger down not 30 yards from the road. Awesome hunt!"

You don't need it that close to the road, Scotty can pack. He's way bigger than me, he could probably sling an entire half on his back and beat me to the truck with my water bottle.

I wouldnt say "WAY" bigger than you, I probably got 40 pounds on you tho. But yea I like to pack, It makes the hunt even more memorable.
