Browning A-Bolt II vs Winchester Model 70 Super Grade

Hi all,
I would like your opinion on these two riffles....

I consider the Browning A-Bolt II .300 RUM or the Winchester Model 70 Super Grade .270. 

Pros and cons, do you have either??  Do you like it??  Have you shot long range with it??  Anything helps.....  I'm about to pull my hair out.... Can't make up my mind.

of those two I'd go Winchester, I hate the Abolt magazine I would look at the Browning X bolt tho.

I'm looking only online, I have not held either.  What's wrong with the A-Bolt Mag??

out of those two I would go with the A-bolt I actually really like the a-bolt magazine it's quick convenient and your rounds aren't loose when you unload. Although both are very good choices i didn't like my mod70 as much as the a-bolt it felt heavier and i prefer the short bolt throw of the a-bolt. with a detachable magazine it's much quicker to load and unload without fumbling with loose ammo when getting in and out of a tree stand and walking to the hunting spot before or out after shooting time. but like said they are BOTH great choices.

You load the mag then hook it to the floor plate and then close it , if you manage to hook it up properly.The X bolt has a normal removable magazine. I know some guys with A bolts just use them like the winchester they load thru the bolt opening and unload using the bolt, they just never remove the mag. and of course do not use the opening floor plate.

Have an Browning Medallion II Grade 3 Octagon A Bolt in .325 WSM.  Son has a .300 Win Mag in a Browning A-Bolt as well as a twin to my .325 WSM.  Great guns and quick to load.  Don't think you can go wrong with either though, as Winchester Super Grades are nice too.

Personally X Bolts feel like I'm holding a baseball bat.  Didn't like them from the first time I shouldered one.

The Winchester is $300 more, but I really like the looks of the A-Bolt and the barrel.  I just can't decide, anyone here that can tell me why one is better than the other??

I have the A-bolt and I have no problems with the magazine.  It's light, and shoots great.  I say go handle both and make the choice.  What fits and works for one might not work for another.

I would go with the winchester too .... my dad has one in a .270 and loves it ....shoots good too !!!

Problem is that the store is 500 miles away, and I have until 12pm if I want to take advantage of the Father's Day Special no interest for 12 month.  That's my dilemma....

Another suggestion.....buy the Browning, save $300, add that to what you were planning on spending on a scope, and upgrade to an even nicer scope.  Win, win.

  That's what I did, update and pics will follow....   I did not believe the Winchester is $300 better shooter than the Browning.  Here is a stock pic, no scope included.
