Remember, the judges said they want to hear not just sounds elk make but the reality of the sounds as in how you would hear them in the wild such as a scenario you might hear them in. There are a lot of great sounds in all of these entries, glad I'm not a judge...

I need to go listen to some elk.
I had some difficulties, but thought I did O.K., made it in at the last 2 minutes, but I am not as good as I thought I was, because I agree that #6 is my choice as a clear, beautiful..(must be Bilbo), I am surprised that mine is not even getting mentioned.. we all deserve the humility.
I wish I sounded as good as my imagination !!
I applaud the participants, and wish you all the best of luck !!
(even if I am last)

Clearly, this will be the 2nd place finish and if you liked this entrant's sound clip bildo's would blow everybodies away!  He is definitely a champion elk caller and I still can not figure out why he's not taking over the circuit and why he's not capitalizing on tutorial videos and gaining sponsorships and making money? :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I am thinking that #21 must be bildo... Jason is trying his best to dumb it down a little closer to our level so we're not entirely blown away... And can leave here with some sense of pride????  :dunno:

I have the pleasure of working from home much of the time so I have gone to the Soundclowd page and just turn it on and listen without looking at each one. Wow, there are a lot of great sounds coming out of everyone. It becomes hard to tell one from another when you do not look or know which one it is on. There are a few standouts but overall fun to listen to. I'm picking up some nice sounds to try

A 19 year old prodigy, "world champion" elk caller that has never killed a bull himself but called "a lot" in for his dad on every high fence operation in North America. My memory is a bit weak but that's just based off my limited recollection. ;)

Caller 21 file is having issues.  I'm going to try something else tomorrow.

I've listened to them all a couple times.  Now I need to sit down close my eyes and imagine I am in the woods and put a score to them.
I know Corey and Paul are also starting to go through them.
