More elk pics...
« on: August 10, 2008, 09:59:17 PM »
Went and checked my camera this evening.  These guys paid it a visit on Friday.  Sure wish I had a big bull permit!

Well done, I have to go get me one of those cameras, you guys are having way too much fun. No permit, these must be east side bulls then?

Those don't happen to be in the Peshastin elk area do they? My 14 year old son has an archery permit for any elk from Sept. 1-14.

I hunted the mission unit last early archery deer season and I ran into a small heard of elk up mountain home road, up near boundry bute on some of the side canyons.  There were 6 or 7 cows and a nice 6x6 bull with them. I was within 40 yards of a couple of the cows.  I Talked to a few other hunters and they had seen a couple other small bulls along with a cow here and there.  I just wish I had that Peshastin early archery hunt.  It can be a good hunt.

Hey hoyt, did you work for Fishing & Hunting News?  I'll post GPS coordinates here in a little bit.  Just leave my camera alone please.

Too bad all those Peshastin unit tags are going all AHE in the next year or two.

No I never worked for them.  I my parents just live up blewett pass about 2 or 3 miles away from mountain home road area so growing up I hunted that area just about every day after school and what not.  dont worry I wont mess with anyones stuff.  I think 99.9% of people wont its just that .1% of people that will.  Those are some nice pictures though.  Have you seen any cats?
