Sig 1911 Scorpion
« on: June 21, 2012, 05:43:13 PM »
Anyone have one?  I love Sig guns and this one looks really cool, should be a perfect sidearm during archery.  Would love to hear from guys/gals who have one or shot one.  Thanks!

Pretty sure BiggerHammer has one of them or 3.

Sweet gun just not a fan of that trigger style on a 1911.

I agree, I don't like the looks but it's smooth as butter and adjustable, there is absolutely no wiggle room, really crisp.  I looked at it yesterday, and I bought it     Now I have to find time to shoot it.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you find it and cost.  I've been looking for a good 1911 for a while.  Been looking at Kimber, Springfield and Colt models.  Would like to check out the Sig.

Thanks,

ET

Search Sig Scorpion. Biggerhammer did a real nice write up about 2 or 3 months ago. I am in the market for a 1911 and I will be buying a Sig. all match grade components in a tight no no sense gun that shoots great. I shot the Springers, Kimbers, ect.... but for a mid range ($600-$1200) gun I liked the Sigs. I will most likely go with the nitron instead of the scorpion since its effectively the same gun without a few upgrades. The solid trigger is actually really nice. Sig builds out of function not looks so the solid trigger is a way to keep dirt and crap out of the trigger. Good luck!

Stadler Firearms in Yakima. List Price $1100-$1400 I paid $1000 for the Scorpion.  I also looked at the Kimber Covert II but chose the Sig over the kimber.  Kimber is about $300 more and its not $300 better than Sig. My opinion.  I would buy soon, there is a shortage of guns from the Factories, Kimber 1 year out, Sig 8-10 months out.  Buy what you can find and what you like.  Getting closer to election prices will increase!!
