It is a Williams Fire Sight Front Hood.  They slide right on a Williams fronst sight ramp.

I just purchased all the same stuff and as sabotloader had suggested I went straight through Williams website. The only issues is that the hood is on back order.   http://www.williamsgunsight.com/

It ended up being cheaper to buy the whole front and rear site kit.

The sight that will come with the gun isa regular William rear sight with elevation and windage slide and glide adjustments... The Williams FP peep give you precise 1/4 minute clicks just like a scope.

The front sight with a hood, and looking through the peep, give you the illusion of looking through a 1 power scope...

This not a real good picture but it kinda gives you the idea of what you might be seeing...

You can and I have broken the fiber optic rod in the front sight.  Really doesn't happen very often, but with the hood installed it provides a lot of protection...  You can pull the hood off by snagging it in the brush, but since I know that I sqeeze it to fit very tight and also add some red lock-tight.

Rear sight I have never had a problem, but I always check the screw in appeture to make sure it is in and snug.  And I even take the apeture out in the early low light morning or evening.  That turns the whole setup into a ghost ring set up.

So the elevation and windage mechanics are tough? Bet they get hung up on vegetation, especially the sticker bushes on the coast. Thanks a bunch

Oh yes the mechanics are very tough and the adjustment controls are built into and flush with the body of the sight... The mechanics also have locking screws to keep them in place.  Not thinking the brush would bother them at all.  But the hood could be a concern unless you install it tight and use something like lock-tight..

You can see there is not much to get caught - but I would never say it was impossible...
