Anyone have one of these laying around?
Looking for a 1.50:1 gear ratio (hooks up to a 5.0L or 5.7L mercruiser). Mine would've been a 1989.
Would appreciate anyone with a lead on a decent functioning outdrive.
Thanks,
Stang

Call Walt at Riverside Marine in Washougal, he used to have some old ones laying around.

Think i've got one to pick up tomorrow from a guy from Belfair.
I'm fairly mechanically inclined, but don't know a whole lot about outdrives.
I'm going to pressure test it. If it holds pressure, I'm going to bolt it on and give it a shot. if it doesn't, I guess I'll replace the seals. watched a pretty good youtube on it, but it does seem like I'll need a few specialty tools.
we'll see how it goes, nothing looks all that hard as long as corrosion hasn't ruined your life. seems easier than a cylinder head replacement, which I did a couple of years ago.

Picked up one down in Fife for $200. Looks like a freshwater unit. I'll be doing a pressure test on it and i'll probably replace the water pump, even though I don't really want to. We'll see how it goes, for $200 its a worthwhile gamble.
