Title: Anyone dog sit?
Post by: h20hunter on July 15, 2020, 07:34:52 AM
Right up front my dog is not dog friendly. Kids yes, people yes, dogs no. We are out of town mid August and are looking for alternative care other than a kennel. Ellie is smart, totally housebroken of course, mixed lab basenji mix, about 40 pounds. Duration would be about 5 days. She is a muture dog but not OLD yet. Loves her walks twice a day and equally loves just sleeping in the yard. Not a kennel dog as she has free reigh of our home during the work day. Compensation available.

We are in lake Stevens and would easily drive a bit for the right pup sitter.

Thanks.

I used to have a great dog sitter until I put a ring on her :chuckle:

Sometimes! Saturday morning she always gets a little special meal.

I'm sure we could help, but if your dog doesn't like dogs and our dog sometimes doesn't like dogs then that sounds like it wouldn't be the best idea around.

Are you looking for someone to take your dog at their house for the week or come by yours for walks/feeding/let out?  We have a neighbor that comes over and watches ours when we are gone but they have a couple dogs of their own and couldn't take it.

I'd prefer the dog to be in the home for the duration.  And yes, another dog would be a bad idea.

I am not familiar with your area but my go to when I need someone to watch my dogs has been to send them to a trainer. Most offer a daily rate that is on par or less than a boarding type kennel. I figure if I got to pay I might as well get something out of the deal. Its a win win.
