**Look out for scammers**
This is just a post for awareness, nothing more.
Dreman78 (has since deleted his profile and no where to be found) posted some 6mm Rem reload 95 gr Hornaday. We made a deal for 2 boxes for 120. We made the deal, I paid via Cashapp and he disappeared. He was texting from this number 740-277-1604 and will no longer respond. There is not much I can do to get my money back, It is not a lot of money but I just want to let people know there is scammer amongst us on here. Thieves suck!
-
Constant battle.....imo.....i would not deal with anyone not local. Look at pist history. None? Out of state, move on.
-
Are you sure on the handle? I want to make sure it's banned. They can't delete their profile.
-
Yea, here is the email with the guys handle and number. Hope you can block him form doing this again.
-
Doesn't come up as a member means they are already banned.
-
Just seems strange.
And how did the scammer know to pm you, when this is your first post on the forum.
Anyway, that sucks ,hopefully you get your money back.
-
:yeah: was thinking the same thing.
-
PM'd the guy before ever posting? Can you do that? Who deleted his profile?
-
The scammer posted ammo for sale, Kelly pm’ed him to buy it.
You don’t have to have posts to pm people.
This is why I don’t do business on here with low post count members, that and I have a photographic memory for avatars for people who are legit on here just don’t post much.🤣
-
Profile not deleted...once we ban they don't show up in the sesrch function.
-
The scammer may still be amongst us, or they at least know who he is. Let me get my ducks in order, because he hit me up with the exact same pm.
-
Folks....
If you get a pm from a new member or one with zero posts that magically has what you need and they can't meet locally......don't do it! Report the message.

I posted awhile ago about wanting to buy some 6mm Remington ammo. On Jan 7th I seen on my post that a PM was sent. On Jan 8th I received a pm about the ammo, but it wasn't from the same person who said they sent the pm from my post, which kind threw up the first red flag. I messaged him back asking how much he wanted, if they were factory loads, and where he was at. He replied with the info, and said he was from Pittsburgh. Well so am I, so I asked how a "Yinzer" (everyone from W. PA knows what a yinzer is), found this Hunting Washington Forum. His reply was he has a friend in Chehalis who referred him, but he never had small talk about Pittsburgh, so that thew up another flag. Then I noticed he had never posted anything either, so that's the 3rd red flag, so I stopped communicating. Anyways, the original person who told me on my post that a PM was sent is from no other than Chehalis. Either he is the same person as the scammer, has an azzhole friend, or is in on the scam himself. That member is non other than Blacktail_Obsessed_19.

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of the scammers are from Pennsylvania or Ohio?
-
If they are not local to Washington State, don't buy from them. They are probably scammers otherwise.
-
They seem to also demand cash methods (apps) that don't have any buyer protection, for obvious reasons.
I'm not sure which do and which don't, I only send money electronically to people that have been here for a while and I have seen post. Even then, I realize it could be a one way trip for my greenbacks. I wouldn't send more money than I would be ok with losing.
-
Damn scammers. Ahhhhhh.
That's why I only fo face to face and cash. Narrows my buy/trade options but less chances of being scammed. So far so good.

Another “member” pm’ed me and gave the same number. He had a different username though. He magically had RL26… and mentioned it was in great condition. Red flag. Reported. People suck!
-
“Used RL-26” is what I’d be wary of… couldn’t resist, sorry about your luck!

I was the person scammed buddy. Just to clarify. I am from chehalis and i was looking for 6mm ammo for my mothers friend. I sent a message to a guy with the reloads. After my comment pm sent, I recieved a message and not putting two and two together and being busy at work I had barely time to clarify if it was the same person. Not many people are selling 6mm rem ammo. so I went with it and that was my mistake. Not until a few days afterwards did I begin to notice. You live and you learn.
-
Wait...what is happening here :dunno: :o
-
we all make mistakes and electronic payment that isnt paypall/venmo which have protection should be avoided. also when they tell you "in great condition" and talking about bullets or powder, thats not a term that people use to describe bullets and powder. live and learn
