2018 Harvest Reports
« on: July 17, 2019, 06:19:11 PM »
So we are looking at the Harvest reports, Elk, District 8, 328-NANEUM.  Modern Firearm, 56 Antlered Harvest? Am I reading this right? I just wanted to check and make sure if anyone has any insights on this.  Looking for a new place to hunt, and doing some research before boots on the ground.  Thanks guys

That's alotta spikes and Quality Bulls, not sure how many tags they hand out if any, but like the numbers.  Makes me wander if herds are migrating away from the wolves.

I have 1 of 24 rifle any bull tags for the colokum. Naneum, quilomein, ellensburg units.  A ton of area to hunt. 54 spikes killed for the naneum seems about right to me. But then again does everybody play by the rules and submit their hunting reports. Idk

ZERO deer for general rifle in bumping and rimrock.  I know they arent great units but a fat zero for both, man those herds must be in bad shape.

Yes very few deer in those units, or South Rainier just across the line.  And the few deer that are there stay nocturnal much of that season.
