Anyone hunted these units?  I spent a very hot and smokey weekend over there and covered about 20 miles on foot and another couple hundred in the truck looking for elk sign.  Found a lot of “elky” areas and a ton of deer but not much in the way of elk.  The elevation seems low in the unit but I’m at a loss on how to get much higher.  Do they migrate in as the season draws on?  Maybe I was just looking in the wrong areas.  Any advice would be welcome.  I was focusing on 8a.

lotta elk in the palouse. Lots behind the fields. I see elk pretty much anytime I drive thru it at night and always have eyes peeled looking, so I dont hit one.

Nearly half a million acres with garbs on the west edge, they will be about.  I assume the $31.75 was spent for the big dogs.

My experience is nada with the area.
This time a year water is huge.
Elk seem to move where they need to with the seasons.
You have Alot of private that they can hole up in.
Of course in late fall to winter your gonna see them in the fields and say man there are some elk here.
But any other time of year can be a big ? Mark on where there at.
Keep all that in mind while e-scout or regular scouting.
