Are you fishing from a boat? Perhaps Lake Stevens? I don't really target them up that way, just Lake Washington and Sammamish. They should be on the spawn now or very soon. Once May hits they will be on the weedlines and under docks in 10-25' of water. They will be readily available until the fall after that. Rigging is pretty simple, small jigs, beetlespins, chunk of crawler on a hook. Once you catch one you can fillet it and cut that in to strips and put the meat on the hook, it works great and stays on a long time. Also tandem hooks on a drop shot rig work great, you can get doubles and even triples.
Fish hard, hunt harder!

I’ve caught a bunch of them at Flowing Lake. It gets crowded there at the county park, but we’ve caught them right off shore there. There’s a boat launch too, if you have a small boat. This is off of WDFW’s website regarding where to find them in Snohomish county:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
