Palisades Youth Deer
« on: September 24, 2024, 01:34:08 PM »
Hello all! Hope everyone is having a good start to the 2024 deer season. It’s probably been a decade or so since I have posted on this site, and in that time, I now have a 10 year old hunting buddy of my own!

I’m writing to see if anyone would be willing or know of someone willing to let my 10 year old son hunt on their property. He drew a Youth Any deer tag in the Palisades, which encompasses GMU’s 266(Badger) and 269(Moses-Coulee). We had a plan that recently fell through as the landowner decided that they wanted to only have family hunting opening weekend this year. Totally understandable.

There is plenty of state land in this Unit, and I have no problem hunting that, but I figured I would love to have as many options for my kid as possible. Thanks in advance and good luck this year.

(I’ve included a picture of me and my boy with his first deer from last year)

My daughter has this tag also. Trying to get her first deer. Good luck!
