bird feeder experience
« on: May 29, 2019, 04:39:58 PM »
I am not a youth, but thought you would like this.
My birdfeeder was getting low, so I went out to refill it. Out of the blue a sparrow lands on my hand and perches on my little finger. I put some seed into my palm and the bird started to feed.
After a couple of  minutes, the bird looks straight up into my face, then turns and continues to eat. I kneel down and put some seed on a paver. The bird jumps off of my finger and starts to peck at the seed.
I refill the feeder and return to the house. The bird continues to eat. This went on for about 5 minutes. The bird finally flew off.
Gathering is easy. Hunting is a challenge.

Make's for great memories, thanks for sharing HoofsandWings. (I love the Camp Robbers that do the same thing in the winter.)
