Looks like a good time. After caping both my buck and my buddies last year my taxidermist said I did such a great job I was hired. Only problem is I wouldn’t be making much money because it probably took me about 10 times as long as it would take him. But I was going for quality not quantity. I have skinned 8 bears now but sure would’ve been nice to have a tutorial on that the first time. Kind of hard to save a whole bear for a class showing how to skin it though

Hey Joel...I have a bear hide in the freezer since 2009.  Is this something you can use for this class ?  Still has the skull.  Would be willing to donate it to the class

Thank you for the offer! I already have a bear for demonstration for the class. The other potential issue is that since 2009 I would very much be surprised if that hide, especially around the lips, nose, and ears, does not have some significant freezer burn. The hide could probably still be tanned, but taking the skin off the head and 'turning' the face would be very hard after that many years in the freezer.. Its probably not something I would use as a demonstration or for practice for the participants. Again, thank you for the offer!
