Knight Bighorn
« on: May 09, 2024, 02:51:00 PM »
Is there a difference in plungers for using #11 vs 209 primers in a bighorn? Is the #11 plunger longer and the 209 plunger shorter? My bighorn came with 3 breech plugs. 1st  Breech plug for #11 and Musketcaps 2nd breech plug for using a 209 primer naked.(breech plug is magnetized, and the 209 primer sits snug) and 3rd breech plug for 209 primer set in a RPJ/FPJ.

My Bighorn came with the ability to shoot #11, musket cap or 209 primer with the red plastic jacket using the same plunger.  Yours must be an older Bighorn because they don't have that bare primer breech plug available for a plunger gun any more.

I am not aware of a different plunger... I suspect it would work for all 3 types if you had the right breech plug.

If you ever decide you want to sell that magnetic bare primer breech plug for your Bighorn let me know.
