USDA approved taxidermist for feathers
« on: April 09, 2024, 03:23:10 PM »
Does anyone know of a USDA approved taxidermist in Washington for processing feathers?
If a man does his best, what else is there?

Check with Tejay over at Trapline Taxidermy. I know he is a USDA approved facility, but not sure if the feathers avenue requires a different set of stipulations. Worth a check tho. Hes a good dude I'm sure would be able to point ya in the right direction if he isn't able to accomodate you.

Just curious, what are the feathers being processed for? And what exactly does processing feathers entail?

If you still need help we can get you squared away - We can pickup from the airport too. We are a USDA approved establishment

It depends on a few things but with Ostrich feathers its a degreasing process for two hours to kill any possible mites. We have to incinerate the crate as well.

Contact directly if you need help - (541) 207 - 6269
