I'd like to know where there are chukars! Never shot one but would like to give it a try.

I hunted them for a while around here, there are a lot of them around. I just never like walking from hill to hill to shoot them. :hunter: If you want to hunt some let me know I might go back out this year.

Swakane is rough b/c they fly once and are in the next county - not enough cover there

Is there good public access in Selah or are you talking private land?  I usually hunt the Yakima canyon but was wanting to explore some new areas for chukar this year.  If anyone wants to go I got a dog and love hunting chukar.

Thanks,
Jake

I hunt on state/federal land and know where there are a few. If you want to know some good spots I'm willing to show you.

Yep they are still there. Not as many, but enough to still make the effort every year. It can be a tough hunt unless you sidehill it most of the way.
