I would not say 400 pounds......Hard one to guess though cause his body is not the typical "Monster bear" frame....but he is sure a fatty! Could surprise ya!!!
If ya get him I will put my guess at 277 1/4 pounds.....

I would also probably not shoot him around that salt lick......I would think that is baiting.

I have the trail cam and salt for deer. Do bears lick salt blocks? This bear (I think) is feeding on a wild plum tree and pear tree left over from an old homestead in the early 1900's about a quarter mile away next to a spring. We'll set up on the hill this afternoon and wait until dark. Hope he comes out when there is still enough light for shooting. We took a nice chocolate from the plum tree last year. Gotta go... I'm guessing 277 1/2  :)

Who cares what he weighs.. .he is a pig!!!!!  Shoot the bear, eat the bear,  have the bear made into a rug..  done deal!
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
