new state record?
« on: September 25, 2012, 07:30:22 PM »
Just wondering if any of you have heard about the possible new state typical muley record buck taken by a bow?  I saw some pics of it and the word is that is measures out at 220" gross and could be in the lower 200 net.  The deductions are from a 10 inch dropper!

Might be cause it was just killed last week I believe.  It has some serious mass!  I will know more about it next week possibly.  The pics I saw were pretty awesome.

I will try and find some more info.  I guess Eastman's made an offer to the guy to let them tour it for a year.  I will have to have my buddy send me some pics.

There was a 200+ WA muley taken a few weeks ago.  Can't say much more at this time. :)

hmmm seems like 200 inchers are dropping everywhere this year, and its only archery season...must be an early rut this year  they all must be too big to fit in a picture

Sounds like the corkscrew buck taken during the late Entiat hunt a year or two ago...it was at the Puyallup Show that year. I believe double drop tines, and a rumor of the night after it was shot someone prowled the shed it was hanging in near Entiat...I thought there were photos of it somewhere on here...maybe not.

Buck was killed a little over 3 weeks ago.  Not a rumor.  I heard the same as UptheCreek that it could be the new state record archery nontypical mule deer.  Lots of mass and deep forks.

No thats a idaho buck

the one i heard was a WA buck, taken about 20 miles from where I live in the winter range during the archery season.

My dad and I both have late rut tags this year, with the quality of deer this early in the season we should be gauranteed a state recored between the two of us  :chuckle:
