Great buck...so not to take away from the hunter, it's an outstanding buck!!! (but no state records, or even close...velvet can be very decieving when it comes to mass, and the width is about 24 inches looking at the ears and forehead and the hunters fingers holding the horns-depth perception is best evaluated with a "scale" against the item being evaluated) Height is good, tines are long and this is definately a great Pope and Young qualifier. Good job to the hunter and congrats!

Anyone have a pic they can post of the current state record?????
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Here is a link to the NW Big Game Inc book (private company that offers a book of records).

http://www.nwbiggame.com/trophy_details.cfm?id=2274

It lists the non-typical WA archery #1 buck as being 203 3/8" out of...Chelan Co (shocker...that place never puts out big bucks).

Hard to tell from the angle, but the drop tine velvet buck doesnt look much smaller than that Chelan state record at all to me. i bet it's pushing 200' class if not over.

Also 220" Sorry I'm not trying to bash a great buck but I just don't see 220"  :dunno:
This buck is 34.5" wide The buck in question doesn't even look to reach his ears? even if all other things were considered ... what am I missing?

:dunno:  I guess I've been underestimating bucks for years now.  I wouldn't squabble with 190 if you told me but where are the extra 30" coming from?  I love the internet!

Awesome buck!!! But how did *censored* get twisted about it being 200, none the less 220? Like said a 170 main frame with some extras.
An awesome archery buck regardless
