WOW ..Good job  :tup: Did you shoot it in the eye ? Or was that from fighting ?
The eye was all closed up and full of puss. They eyeball itself still looked ok, but it had a big gash on the top of the eyelid and was closed. After I got home, I talked with some guys who had seen the buck a couple of weeks ago and had some pictures through their spotting scope. In the pics you can see he had a little 6" or so dropper that came off that mess of points on his right base. I assume he got his eye poked and that dropper broken off in a fight. I'm not complaining about missing 6" though! :chuckle:
That would be so cool to have those pics with the drop tine though.  I would love to see them.
"Shoot the spike".  It's much easier to pack out!
