Scratched 14 on the river today
« on: November 24, 2012, 01:15:44 PM »
Well my dad went to elk camp and since I already shot my elk I decided to stay and catch up on duck hunting. We went to the river today and banged a 2 man limit 14 birds, it was a good hunt with birds comitting in the spread. Not bad for 1st hunt of the year.

I am glad my dog still remebers how to duck hunt after last shed season, but he still has the nack!

Started seeing big migrating flocks 2 days ago. Its gonna be heating up fast. I dig those widgeon, but be careful if you have to break their necks. The heads don't stay attached too well.

That middle Widgeon looks like it might be a Stormy.  Do you have a close up of him?  Nice bag of birds.

glad to see the birds are starting to work again in that stretch of the river.. it really died off for a week and a half or so.. wouldn't fly but there were birds in the area. nice work. I'm sure I'll see ya in that stretch soon.
