Should have done the "Elmer Fudd Walk" past the camera about 50 times.  That would have been a fun way to get him to "get the picture".  :chuckle:  :chuckle:
Believe me, this camera would have only caught day hikers farm dogs me my buddy other hunters mushroom picker a Cow pig ect ect!  It was Smack dab in the trail, not even in the woods or hunting area yet.
I would do it again, in fact we took some time figuring out what/how we were gonna mess with it!

That's not a practical joke. That's messing with other people's gear. If it's not yours you should leave it alone.

Even though I may fall into the self righteous classification, I agree 100 with grundy on this.  I guess it's okay to physically mess with someone's equipment, but not okay for me to park on a public road and glass animals.

Take $300 TV and strap it to a tree on a public trail see what happens?
 Or a Laptop
3 $100 bills
Hand gun
Your GPS
Anything of value!  Do you really think its going to be there in a week or two?  Really?!   You are a FOOL
Get off your Lazy ass and go hide it in the woods, canyon somewhere but don't put it 5 min away from the Parking lot where Everybody walks!

That's not the point! Just because some one hangs something of value in a noticeable place does NOT make it OK to mess with it. This world would be a better place if people didn't think like you. You should be able to trust people and you shouldn't have to worry about people messing with or stealing your gear. It's people like you that are ruining this country.

I don't know which is more disheartening here,

1)  The fact that someone would intentionally do this, or
2)  They would then try to defend their actions using the logic expressed here

Sad.

I hear that alot.  There are lots of good folks on here too.   I didn't post my hunt on here this year as I figured I would have to deal with crap or I didn't want to contribute to the crap by my negativity of the adventure, I was pleasantly surprised of the support actually.

Your not going to get any support from me Bone!!! I look forward to reading about your adventures every year. You seem to be able to document (photographically) your hunts unlike most and they are always an interesting read.

Just giving you a hard time. I, like most, would obviously love to see the pics and hear the story but understand the hesitation. Any chance you will post up some pics without a story? maybe just in the 2012 bucks thread.

Thread jacked.....story or lack there of is in the Manson buck thread and when I get a pic of the thing I'll post it.

back to topic.   We all have to learn that what we post is going to be seen by thousands and evaluated by thousands just like yourself.   Wrong, right, good or bad.  We have to learn that now.  Welcome to the age of the internet.   I can understand if its too much pressure to post.   Opinions are plentiful.  If you want to have one and share it, you get the priviledge of allowing someone else the same and it might be different than yours.   A campfire of 10 has been extended to a fire of 10,000.  Since my fire usually has 1 by it, I understand more than you guys might think I do.    HOWEVER, there are more than 10,000 authors with stories an photos to "this magazine" and its mostly ALL LOCAL.
