I'm curious to see how this poll comes out.  I know because of the different hunting methods the answers will vary, so you can post your hunting method if you like.  GO!

95% of my hunts are solo with, once in a while going out with the brother or my dad.  Regardless, we usually split up and meet back somewhere later.  It is always easier to hear game animals if you are by yourself.  2 sets of eyes do not make up for 2x the noise.

99% solo, my hunting partner and I just can't stand having people with us when we are in the woods. We start off in the same truck but that's about it, see you at dark!! He thinks I'm too slow, I think he's too fast, the noise two people make- it just sucks having someone with you. And I'm only talking when I'm hunting, if my daughter wants to go then it's totally different. I love having her with me, but having a 16 year old it's tough to get her out of the house anymore.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

Camp with a partner or two, but always hunt alone. Unless my Son is with me.

my wife hates that I hunt solo but I much prefer it especially since I'm a bowhunter. I don't like the idea that even if you're doing everything right, the animal could bust your buddy or vise versa. essentially it's twice the noise, sight, and scent hunting with a buddy. for early elk though I'm teaming up with a couple buddies, but even then we may split up. Haha.
Every thought of my being is in regards to being a high tech predator and I relish the role.

I have the What's over there syndrome so hunting with others dont work well, I follow the sign and usually end up miles from where I intended to go....

I hunt exclusively alone since I archery hunt.  Got tired of having hunting partners bag out on me, the unreliability an having them mess up stalks or hunting spots.

We have a large group camp of family and friends and then head off in our own directions.
If you are going to do it do right the first time.

Solo to me means going alone-and packing it out alone,if you have helpers-friends that is not solo.

We have a large group camp of family and friends and then head off in our own directions.
We use to do that.  About 12 of us in camp on average but it got to the point where by day 2 60% of the group didn't leave camp to hunt until 9 am and was always back by noon.  I got tired of guys getting drunk the night before and not feeling like hunting the next few days.  If I made the mistake of saying that I saw a big buck in an area the next day I would have 3 guys piling into my truck to "hunt" with me and try to find that buck.  One time I had a cousin shoot a buck that I had been tracking for 3 days as I had my crosshairs on it and only needed it to step forward 6" to make the shot.  He snuck in to where I was hunting and literally shot the buck right out from underneath me.  :bash:

My brother and I team up quite often, but we do like a lot of you guys get to an area and then split up. Even if we are hiking together I have this tendency to hike a couple extra miles than I planned...... But we work well because my brother likes to sit and watch areas and I like to sneak through the brush. And he know I will always come back and find him. I only stick with him and help him watch areas when I fill my tag.

I love hunting by myself. My son is the only exception. I hunt with him untill he gets his deer, and then I'm solo for the rest of season.

I hunt solo sometimes and hunt with a buddy other times. When hunting with a buddy, we usually switch off days on who gets first shot.
